Until then, keyboard players shere put in the back and didn't contibute much to the theatrical part of a rock show...no offense to Rick Wakeman or Keith Emerson. Steve Walsh jumped, danced and did handstands on his keyboards. A rare example of how energetic he was is to love at the Mysteries and Mayhem video on youtube filmed at the Whiskey. Of course, Steve is coked up, but he performed like that night after night in during the 70s. In the early Kansas videos and the later Kansas performances, Steve is much more sedate.
